The feel of the town
Stamford is Connecticut's second-largest city and its business capital, with a dense downtown of offices, apartments and restaurants and one of the busiest train stations in the region. Along the water, neighborhoods like Shippan, Cove and the South End trade skyline for beaches and marinas.
North of the Merritt Parkway the city turns quiet and wooded, with larger lots and a country feel. Few places offer this range of lifestyles within a single city line.
