The five stars say it all but don’t do justice as a review. The nuances of buying a house, the managing of emotions and expectations, and the ins and outs of appraisal gaps are hard ground to cover. The devil lies in the myriad details of home buying, and believe me… it would be best if you had an ally, a confidant, a consigliere. Buying a house is not easy, it’s not fun, and it’s not the Barbie dream house of your erstwhile imagination. No, sadly, it is not a dream-come-true scenario. And all of your assumptions, every last idea you had about what a house is and how you buy it; all of those thoughts are nascent. It would help if you had someone like Christopher Grass, a natural-born house-whisperer. He won’t let you get twigged down in the myriad. He’ll keep you on track and constantly align you to the goals you probably think you have - but I can assure you, as a first time buyer - these are not the goals you need to have. If you race out and see a house for weeks on end - you’ll want a buyer agent you look forward to seeing every time.

Christopher is an ally in the war of buying a home. He’s experienced, astute, knowledgeable, and centered. Buying your home is a process, more like grieving than a celebration. Where we benefitted from Christopher’s guidance was mostly in managing expectations but also, especially, in helping establish our goals. Knowing what you want and figuring out what you need, then determining how that fits with reality at any given time, in fluctuating market conditions, well, you should go on to Amazon and buy an Ouija board right now. But for every Dante pursuing their dream home, they need a Virgil to guide them through the various spheres of house-buying hell. Christopher is never one to shy away from the challenge all buyers present: he’ll help you find your Beatrice, your empyrean house, the magical place at the end of a long and suffering journey with many tanks of spent gas and missed meetings while randomly running out in the middle of a day to see a house someone put an offer on the day before. Christopher will bulk you up and brace you against the hot winds of offers and counteroffers. Metaphors aside, Christopher knows his business square, is a good, solid, and friendly person, and has preternatural ability to understand when to offer and when to walk away; plus, you’ll never, ever feel like you are not his only client. We couldn’t have imagined buying a house without him.

Fantastic experience with Chris for my first time home purchase. I ask a lot of questions and inquire about many minute details. He's very patient, helpful, very good recommendations about lender, contractor, inspector, etc... even after the purchase, I feel like he's a friend and would still feel free to ask him questions.
